On Thursday, September 26, 2024, a delegation from the Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) visited with ICAS scholars to discuss joint promotion of educational and academic exchanges between China and the United States.
The SISU delegation was led by Prof. Guo Shuyong (Dean, School of International Relations and Public Affairs), who was accompanied by Prof Zhang Ailing (Dean, Graduate Institute of Interpretation and Translation), and Dr. Mao Xiaohong (Deputy Director, Office of International Cooperation and Exchange).
The discussion was led by Mr. Sourabh Gupta (Senior Fellow & Head, Trade ‘n Technology Program), Mr. Yilun Zhang (Research Associate & Manager, Trade ‘n Technology Program), and Ms. Jessica Martin (Research Associate & Manager, Maritime Affairs Program).
The discussion included an introduction of SISU’s international studies programs, global academic network, and interdisciplinary research programs, and followed with an exchange of perspectives and opinions on potential areas of academic collaboration to promote U.S.-China academic dialogue and exchanges. At the conclusion of the discussion, the two parties signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly promote the bilateral educational and academic exchanges between China and the United States.
