22nd China-U.S. Young Scholars’ Dialogue

On May 12, 2026, Rian Knighton particpated in the 22nd China-U.S. Young Scholars Dialogue in Beijing, China, under the theme “To Promote the Steady, Sound and Sustainable Development of China-U.S. Relations” as part of an American delegation including members of Stimson Center, the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, Harvard’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs,  the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, Paul Tsai China Center at Yale, and the Centre on Contemporary China and the World. 

Rian Knighton presented commentary on Session II: Assessing the Current State of China-U.S. Relations & Session III: Managing Differences and Shaping Common Interests, focusing on the usage of social media in people-to-people exchanges and  opportunities for collaboration in financial governance.
