ICAS Internship Program

What Interning Means at ICAS

Tired of being told to look after the printers and fax machines? Tired of being assigned to do work, and looking rather for a place to take the initiative? Tired of sitting in your cubicle and never able to talk to the “big bosses”? Want to escape from the dead quiet and be able to have more in-person engagement with your fellow interns and policy specialists?

Then ICAS is just the right fit for you. It has an open-door workplace where you are always welcome to share, discuss and learn. Do the work you’re interested in, work hard, seize the publishing opportunities that come your way, and consult the “bosses” with anything related to your career and academic development. We’re a tight-knit team and here to help and invest in your future!

Internship Postings

ICAS offers full-time and part-time internships for undergraduates, master’s students, and recent graduates who are interested in gaining practical experience in foreign relations. In addition to real-world experience, ICAS interns participate in a variety of activities that support ICAS, including research, writing and project development.

Please keep checking back in the near future for more opportunities.

What Our Alumni Have To Say

Aside from the tight-knit, spirited environment contributed to by the whole team, I most value how ICAS interns are actively supported in debating and publishing their own research and analysis. The ICAS scholars trust the caliber of my work to be professional while still providing the technical expertise to improve my research and writing skills.
Jessica Martin
Research Assistant Intern
I came to ICAS hoping to improve my knowledge in defining global trends and acquire skill sets needed for addressing some of the world's most pressing issues. I have received these and so much more. More importantly, ICAS scholars and peers have inspired me with their passion, wisdom, and encouraging nature.
Asiana Cooper
Research Assistant Intern
This internship at ICAS is providing me with a lot of opportunities to experience almost all aspects of working at a research institution. Not only have I been able to conduct the kind of research that made me want to study International Affairs in the first place, I am also blessed to work with the other interns and witness the different skill sets everyone is bringing to the table.
