Defense & Security
The Defense & Security section of the ICAS Biden International Affairs Personnel Tracker largely includes personnel serving in the Department of Defense and other national security – including cybersecurity – focused agencies of the Executive Branch. The primary role of the listed personnel is to defend the United States against all threats, foreign and domestic, as well as advance the geostrategic interests of the United States internationally.
ICAS recognizes that certain personnel’s responsibilities can overlap between subject areas and has no intention of limiting any individual’s influence or role. The objective of the Tracker is to identify and understand the official positions of key players in the Biden Administration who will directly or indirectly impact the trajectory of the U.S.-China relationship in various subject areas.
ICAS will continue to update the Tracker with new and additional appointees as time and circumstances allow.
