2017 Great Decision Speaker Series - The South China Sea Dispute: Law, Policy, and Management

Coastal Carolina University, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, and the Edgar Dyer Institute for Leadership and Public Policy

Every year the Foreign Policy Association (FPA) in Philadelphia, the nation’s oldest organization devoted to citizen education in world affairs, authors the Great Decisions Series, a national discussion program focusing on eight major foreign policy issues.  The issues are selected at the beginning of the year based on the most critical global challenges to United States foreign policy.  The program aims to present all sides of each issue in order to inform and educate the public. World Affairs Councils across the United States host this Great Decision Speaker Series.

On February 25, 2017, Dr. Nong Hong talked about the South China Sea at the Great Decision Speaker Series, in Virginia Beach as part of a nation-wide discussion of American foreign policy.
