On February 28 – March 1, 2025, Executive Director and Senior Fellow Dr. Nong Hong was invited to speak on China-Russia cooperation in the Arctic at the 2025 China-Russia Dialogue in Sanya, China. The dialogue was hosted by Beijing Club for International Dialogue, an ICAS strategic partner, Academcy of Contemprorary China and World Studies, and Russia International Affairs Council.

Inaugurated in 2024, the 2025 China-Russia Dialogue continued to focus on discussing bilateral China-Russia cooperation, global financial cooperation, cooperation and global challenges in the Arctic, cooperation among the BRICS countries, and multilateralism under the global south framework. This year’s dialogue also discussed the U.S. policies under a second Trump administration and its implications for the rest of the world..
