Inaugurated in November 2020, The Symposium on Global Maritime Cooperation and Ocean Governance (SGMCOG) aims to offer a unique platform for thought-provoking dialogues among the thinkers of various backgrounds from all over the world and promote academic research and exchange on maritime cooperation and ocean governance.
The SGMCOG 2022 will continue to focus on the topics concern the global ocean governance from the perspective of multilateralism and explore maritime cooperation in and beyond the South China Sea region. It will be conducted in hybrid format with both virtual and physical attendance. There will be a meeting venue in Sanya, Hainan, China for participants and observers in China.
